During the weekend of June 8-10, 2007, Don Golden
attended an intensive training “boot camp” on the Fair Credit Reporting
Act led by Consumer Rights Attorney Lisa Wright in Atlanta, Georgia. The
training consisted of everything an attorney needs to know to represent
consumers who have disputes with credit reporting agencies and
furnishers (those who provide information to the credit reporting
agencies) including filing suits which seek to recover damages.
During the weekend of April 20-22, 2007, Don Golden attended the National
Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys 15th Annual Convention
held in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Over 1000 attorneys attended this
conference. The focus of the conference was on current litigation strategies for
consumer bankruptcy attorneys who represent debtors under the new bankruptcy
law.
During the weekend of November 10-13, 2006, Don
Golden attended the 15th Annual Consumer Rights Litigation Conference sponsored
by the National Consumer Law Center and National Association of Consumer
Advocates in Miami, Florida. Topics included the Fair Debt Collection Practices
Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, Successfully maintaining a consumer law
practice and many others.
During the weekend of June 16-18, 2006, Don Golden
attended an intensive training "boot camp" on the Fair Debt Collection Practices
Act led by Consumer Rights Attorney Pete Barry. The training consisted of
everything an attorney needs to know to represent consumers who have been
harassed by debt collectors including spotting violations of the statute,
filing a law suit seeking to recover damages, and settling the case. Pete
Barry is a national recognized consumer rights attorney who often speaks

During the weekend of May 5-7, 2006, Don Golden
attended a Fair Credit Reporting Act training conference in Las Vegas, Nevada
sponsored by the National Association Consumer Advocates. The conference
focused on helping consumers resolve issues regarding correcting inaccurate
information on their credit reports with an emphasis on litigating cases
against the big 3 credit reporting agencies and furnishers.
During the weekend of February 25-26, 2006, Don
Golden attended a Fair Debt Collection Practices training conference in
Austin, Texas sponsored by the National Consumer Law Center and the National
Association of Consumer Advocates. |
